waiting waiting

2 hours and 3 minutes since
i fell to the side of the road
and i realised that im running
from monsters too fast for my
feet to keep up with

casualties are high and still
counting. i need a temporary
home for my heart.

and you say you're waiting, waiting
for something. well im waiting
waiting for something too.

we admired the same thing yesterday,
from different places and in
different states of mind. maybe
one day we can go for a walk and
sit under a tree and watch
the clouds go past because we know
what it means.

and do you want to build this
house with me? we'll keep a look
out at night for the monsters
so they dont destroy what we've
created. because im sure it
will be beautiful.

i still need a
temporary home.
