Watched the video, had to stop half way through. Expensive glass wasted on a very amateur shoot. Were you using a full frame sensor camera? 35mm and 50mm are terrible choices for portrait lenses. I can especially see the perspective distortion in the 35mm shots. The minimum focal length for portraiture used by people who know what they are doing is 85mm. I use 105mm and 180mm almost exclusively outdoors where I have lots of room to work. And no off camera fill flash? Here eyes are dead, no catchlights and totally flat (which is boring) lighting.
